Electronic soul singer ELKAE has released her infectious debut single ‘Sold’. The single which was released in November has amassed over 7,000 streams on Spotify within its first month and it is clear why.
The song is a unique blend of soul, funk and electropop, together with the interesting instrumental layers, smooth synth lines and memorable guitar hooks it’s a song you won’t get tired of.
The track was written about a first date the singer went on and discusses the moment when you realise that you are falling for the person, but don’t yet know if the feeling is mutual. The tension of this theme is evident in the track.
ELKAE delivers an effortlessly smooth vocal melody with lots of tasteful adlibs throughout and the fade out at the end will leave you wanting more.
