Norma Manly has released her debut single ‘Blue’. The song discusses the breakup of a relationship that has left her feeling like a fool, something many of us will relate to.
Manly’s unique breathy tone aids the sorrowful feel of the track, with the guitar and drums playing parts typical to the blues genre.
Together with the vamping piano chords and Manly’s smooth vocal melodies, the minimalistic track transports you back in time. This blues song is perfect to listen to on a cold winter evening.
The Tipperary native recorded the piece which is also the title track of her debut EP in Ballyhane studios county Limerick.
The accompanying music video for the single which was created by Nick Fennell, shows Manly singing her heart out with a suitable dark, blue tint the scene.
