Sister duo Meabh and Mella Carron have released their latest single ‘Numb’.
CARRON’s music has a compelling Celtic Fleetwood Mac sound and this latest single is no different.
Their voices blend together beautifully as you would expect from a sister duo. The song has lots of nice and simple harmonies throughout.
The string line adds a rich texture to the track which enhances the somber mood and slick ideas from the guitar provide a folk vibe.
‘Numb’ is heavy with metaphors of a snowy landscape which according to the band is “an attempt to mirror deep, complex sadness after a time of illness”.
A quiet canon vocal idea which builds with intensity and the addition of multiple vocal layers and heavy drums brings the song to a powerful end.
